Visiting Lonely Seniors All Over Israel

Israeli seniors are more lonely and isolated than ever before. We use an innovative volunteering model to grant them something elusive yet powerful: human connection and community.

Our Mission

One third of Israelis over 65 experience loneliness, and 200,000 are far away from any support or community. No one deserves to be lonely - especially when loneliness can increase risks of dementia, heart disease, and even death.

How Does It Work?

A circle of giving that suits everyone

Each senior is assigned to four nearby volunteers

Each Friday, one of the volunteers comes over for a visit with a homecooked meal or for a conversation on mutual hobbies

The same four volunteers visit again and again after months and even years, building strong bonds with the senior and with each other
